Ho hum. A big thanks to those encouraging feedback posts
, so I'm back again posting another. Wrote this today at work...I'm a gardener, not much else to do besides hum and talk to myself LOL (oh yeah, and give people directions, what am I, a walking map?!) Anywho, on with the show.
Street lights
Slow drive
No one to see but you’re out gas anyway
Sad day
Dark night
Night after night sitting home alone
Sunrise
Daybreak
And it starts all over again
It’s just
Too far away from where you want to be
There are
So many things you wish you could think and say
But you don’t want to scare them away
You are
So far behind from where you should be
One day
You’ll get back to where you were before
Maybe then you’ll believe in me
Bright lights
Dark moons
Crying yourself to sleep at night
You think
Too much
Too soon
But you can’t hide anymore
From yourself
At night
Nothing but your thoughts to accompany you
Sunrise
Daybreak
And it all starts over again
It’s just
Too far away from where you want to be
There are
So many things you wish you could think and say
But you don’t want to scare everything away
You are
So far behind from where you should be
One day
You’ll get back to where you were before
Maybe then you’ll believe in me
You say
It’s alright
But I know you’re lying through your tears
