Ooh, such good stuff here. Terrific introspection on both their parts, and especially Lois, realizing that she might *already* be in love with him, and that he's well worth loving. I'm looking forward to her campaign to convince him <g> You've been writing a lot, lately -- keep it up, please! PJ

Ditto to what Pam said...and I couldn't resist adding some quotes that I liked. Facing down a super-powered rival was a new experience, of course, and he'd tried to do it without an overt display of his super-powers. He hadn't quite succeeded, but Lois hadn't picked up on it, fortunately. You're sure about that, Clark? He hadn't realized that he would feel quite so strongly that his double was intruding on his territory, and he had even been a little ashamed of himself. Lois certainly wouldn't have appreciated it if she had known. You're sure about that, Clark? A moment later, she had seen Superman's silhouette shoot upward and vanish in the direction of Clark's apartment. The whole incident had happened so quickly and quietly that if she hadn't been half-expecting something of the sort, she would have missed it. That's great! Clark was her hero and her guardian angel and always had been. He had saved her life countless times. She just hadn't realized it. Love this realization! And the one that Clark's heart could be broken too. "I know. But after the Revenge, it was kind of personal. Besides, he tried to shoot you, Clark. No thanks to him that he didn't. I was worried about you. I didn't want to wake up one day and find out he'd managed to have you killed." She hesitated. "That's why I've done everything I can lately to convince him that I don't find you attractive. Other than physically, that is." Is this true?! Or part of her plan to make Clark realize she cares about him? Or both? Either way, I love it! And I love Clark's reaction. More soon, please! Sara

I love stories where Lois know and decides she's not mad. Poor Clark, he'll never see it coming! Great stuff..more soon! ~Liz
Lois: Can I go? Clark: No. Lois: Oh come on, Clark, why do we go through this? We both know Iām going to go. Clark: Then why do you ask? Lois: Iām trying to be nice.

Ditto others. Lovely, wonderful part and a captivating story. It's so good to see Lois know Clark's real nature so early in their relationship: If she didn't know Clark Kent by now, then she didn't know anything about anybody. And: But the woman who had Clark's heart could do the same to him, and she suspected that his could be broken as easily as hers. Maybe more easily. It's only...I am afraid that when Clark learns when Lois discovered he was Superman, he will suspect her conduct changed because of it.

Hi, Great part.
Maria D. Ferdez. --- Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age. MAF

My isn't Lois full of surprises here.
Not only is she surprising herself with her own personal internal 'revelations' but she's also giving Clark more than a bit of pause as he finds out about her campaign against Luthor.
Like the others I look forward to Lois' campaign to 'convince' Clark how swell she really is. I don't think she realizes how easy of a time she'll actually have of it.
Tank (who thinks that the clincher for Lois' campaign to win over Clark would be a nice short haircut because we all know that Clark prefers Lois with shorter hair... he just doesn't know it yet)

Nan, ditto Pam and Sara, who both said exactly what I was thinking. I love the added romance and B-plot which is going into your stories these days, and the introspection in this section was excellent. Lots of great insights into both Lois and Clark in this section, and it's also fun to see Clark reading Lois right in some respects and wrong in others. Loved this bit: The realization brought her up short. If she didn't know Clark Kent by now, then she didn't know anything about anybody. She'd learned everything important about him the day she had awakened in his bedroom two days after Miranda had sprayed her with the Revenge; she just hadn't connected it before.
Clark cared about her, and equally important, he respected her. That was something she couldn't say about any of her previous relationships. She couldn't even say that about her own father, who had wanted a son, and had been bitterly disappointed because he "only" had daughters to show for his marriage. Would any other man climb out of a warm bed at midnight to help his friend and partner turn a mattress, for god's sake? Absolutely, Lois! Now you really do know Clark well. Go for it, girl! And that bit at the end, Lois showing Clark that she's been trying to protect him, was great. Can't wait to see what he says or does about that! More soon! Wendy
