TOCThanks to Groobie for suggesting that I finish this story before year's end. Now that you've read this 4th part, you can see why I was hesitant in posting it. All the scenes were taken from the Ultra Woman episode with only a slight twisty adjustment on my part. This was my original Part 3, but every beta I had read it said that I totally avoided Lois and Clark talking about what happened in Part 2. My new Part 3 (completely original) was only written because this part was universally panned by my Betas (all three of them). Anyway, please let me know what you think. Should I include it with the first three parts when I submit it to the Archives, or shall we just leave this rehashed ending on the drawing room floor? Thank you for reading and for Lynn, Christina, and Wendy for pushing me to be a better writer.

I think this works as a part 4. It wraps up the A-plot from UltraWoman, and the ending brings us that funny nod to UltraWoman singing karaoke in the bar. Clark and Lois are adorable together, and the line about UltraWoman ditching Superman for Jimmy was fabulous. Glad you finished it up!

I vote for including this epilogue in the story. I think it nicely ties up the loose ends, and the humor is great.

Yay, you posted it!! And this does tie things up quite nicely. I love it!
CLARK: No. I'm just worried I'm a jinx. JONATHAN: A jinx? CLARK: Yeah. Let's face it, ever since she's known me, Lois's been kidnapped, frozen, pushed off buildings, almost stabbed, poisoned, buried alive and who knows what else, and it's all because of me. -"Contact" (You're not her jinx, you're her blessing.)

groobie: Thanks. I'm glad you liked that joke at Superman's expense. Poor fellow, it seems he can't catch a break. cuidadora: Always good to hear people enjoying my oddball humor. Thank you. Christina: Yes, I finally posted it. Better late than never. It works better with that revamped (completely new and original) Part 3. Thanks for all your help on this! That's 3 votes for keeping it in. Should I list it as part of the story or as an epilogue? (I don't usually break up my shorter stories into parts or chapters when I submit them to the Archives.)

It definitely seems like part of the story to me.

It's been forever since I signed into the site, but a new part to this story? That'll give me the motivation actually log in. This has always been a fun story and since Ultra Woman is one of my favorite episodes, all of the scene tweaks were quite enjoyable to read. I also vote for including this part in the story.

Lady Loisette: Aw. Shucks. Thanks. I'm glad you liked this story and my tweaking of those final scenes of UW. Thanks too for logging in and saying 'Hi!'

Catching up on the boards, and thrilled to find more of this story ... I'd like to add a vote of FOR SURE keeping it, and DEFINITELY making it a Part 4 vs. an Epilogue to the story . I, personally, feel that the story seems complete now...I love how you wrapped everything up, and the end line is a great circle back to earlier in the piece. Lovely job, Virginia . Laura

Laura: Thank you for the applause and your kind words. Everyone has voted to keep this last section of the story, so I guess it's officially a part. Thank you all for reading and for taking the time to give me feedback. I really appreciate it.

much to his chagrin, but flew side by side with the woman’s head resting on her shoulder. Aww…they’re in love! RALPH: “Would you like to talk to someone? A doctor?” Ultra Woman suggested hesitantly.
“No,” the woman replied. She looked at Ultra Woman almost with derision and snidely added, “But I would like a hug.” Huh? Was I right? But the tone of voice doesn’t match, so… A part of her knew that Superman would’ve said ‘yes’ and she needed to talk to him about that policy. SUPERMAN: But she was *blonde*! Any loony with Kryptonite might be asking, and this woman certainly was giving off those kind of vibes. SUPERMAN: Now, Lois, you can’t go around distrusting people like that. Ultra Woman didn’t even have time to turn and ask ‘her who?’ when she felt something hit her between the shoulder blades and drain out her life force. Naughty Writer! Naughty! She knew, even before the woman lifted her off the ground with a gloating grin, that the hug had been a terrible mistake. Lois wished she had stuck to her gut reaction with this woman. Wait, I thought Lois knew both Newtrich sisters? At least, now I know where I knew that scene from. Was one of Superman’s abilities Super naïveté? What is he doing? Lois wondered. Trying to get me killed? What good was that going to do them? They are going to take a commemorative shot of the Newtrich sisters and Ultra Woman? He held up the camera. “Then we’ll have to even up the numbers a bit more.” Clever. Didn’t see that one coming. Planning had never been his strong suit. But hers? LOIS: See? /points at feet/ Sturdy pumps. Perfect for jumping. but more that Lois really didn’t want to test the whole invulnerability to bullets thing. Look who’s a yellow bellied chicken now! “Ms. Lane is just as powerless as her fiancé,” Ultra Woman explained That’s not actually a lie. CLARK: I’ve trained her well. Treat, Lois? LOIS: “I’m just one of Superman’s friends from the league of super heroes called… um… The Justice League,” Ultra Woman said, floating into the air. “He calls on me for assistance from time to time.” Wonder Woman: Me, too! I don’t date my co-workers,” Yadda yadda yadda, she also likes to be on top… “Keep that up and I’ll have to turn you over to Batman for censure.” BATMAN: “At least, I don’t have to spend every waking moment worrying about your safety now,” Clark continued.
“Ha-ha. You and I both know you didn’t do that before,” Lois said, tapping his chest. Right. CLARK: I *didn’t*! At least, not when I was going out with a blonde! The headline blared: Ultra Woman Sings the Blues for Superman. Oops? That was fun! The ending needs to stay. And now back to our regular programming where things go *really* wrong with Clark… Michael

Darth Michael: Yea! The weekend comith and I have time again to respond. Thanks again for your wonderful comments! much to his chagrin, but flew side by side with the woman’s head resting on her shoulder. Aww…they’re in love! RALPH: /Likes it/ Clark's chagrin was the night before when UW was carrying him like Superman usually carries Lois. LOIS: And who invited Ralph? Huh? Was I right? But the tone of voice doesn’t match, so… See above about Clark's previous night's chagrin. SUPERMAN: But she was *blonde*! UW: Exactly! SUPERMAN: So, I'm not supposed to rescue blondes? UW: No. Leave 'em to me. BLONDE: Oh, thanks, Ultra Woman. Look at that. I wasn't in trouble after all. SUPERMAN: Now, Lois, you can’t go around distrusting people like that. LOIS: Sure, I can. I'm Lois Lane. Distrust is my middle name! CLARK: I thought it was Joanne. LOIS: I like Distrust better. ER: /shocked, absolutely floored that this fic that had swerved away from canon would turn back HERE/ Naughty Writer! Naughty! Wait, I thought Lois knew both Newtrich sisters? At least, now I know where I knew that scene from. That's Clark. They are going to take a commemorative shot of the Newtrich sisters and Ultra Woman? LOIS: I hate this part of the hero business. Clever. Didn’t see that one coming. AND I autocorrected that swerve. But hers? LOIS: See? /points at feet/ Sturdy pumps. Perfect for jumping. LOIS: Martha insisted. ER: Look who’s a yellow bellied chicken now!/shows Lois as a chicken down on the farm/ LOIS: Clark! You said you wouldn't post that photo to Facebook! That’s not actually a lie. CLARK: I’ve trained her well. Treat, Lois? /hands Lois a chocolate bar/ LOIS: /plays along with Clark, letting him assume he's actually changing her./ Well, she has hung out with that excuse maker for years now. Wonder Woman: /wave/ Me, too! /has naturally endowed super strength and knows she can defeat that purple wantabe./ ULTRA WOMAN: Um... You're too far south. Gotham City is THAT way. Yadda yadda yadda, she also likes to be on top… Oh, that part hasn't changed. ER: /can't believe Clark's teasing/ BATMAN: /I'm Batman, so I'm smart enough not to touch Ultra Woman with a 50 foot pole./ Batman does like people to follow his rules, doesn't he? Right. CLARK: I *didn’t*! At least, not when I was going out with a blonde! He didn't worry about Lois's safety when he was dating Mayson? That was fun! The ending needs to stay. And now back to our regular programming where things go *really* wrong with Clark… /Michael begs/ Thanks, Michael. I'm still working on it. I did get distracted by these other fics, but now my energy is back where it belongs. I'm hoping to finish up this mini-arc in 3-4 more parts.

The weekend comith and I have time again to respond. Weekends. Very nice periods of time. UW: Exactly! SUPERMAN: So, I'm not supposed to rescue blondes? UW: No. Leave 'em to me. BLONDE: Oh, thanks, Ultra Woman. Look at that. I wasn't in trouble after all. ER: Naughty Writer! Naughty! EW: /thanks the audience for the compliment/ Oh boy. LOIS: Clark! You said you wouldn't post that photo to Facebook! CLARK: But Jimmy insisted! ULTRA WOMAN: Um... You're too far south. Gotham City is THAT way. Batman does like people to follow his rules, doesn't he? BATMAN: And be able to knock them out flat. He didn't worry about Lois's safety when he was dating Mayson? You think he did? I'm hoping to finish up this mini-arc in 3-4 more parts. Always fun to get things into perspective, like your definition of ‘mini’ Michael
