Feedback folder.
I'm putting this down as 7 chapters for now- it may go to 8, but I doubt it. It is a work in progress, but I have 5 chapters in the bag right now and I'm working on the sixth. So don't worry, I won't abandon it!
I'll try and post twice a week.
Feli.

Oh, no. Lois, what did you do? Didn't one wrong relationship (with Lex) teach you anything? Clark, you're the one who left, you big lunkhead. What other option did she have? Glad to hear that he's still writing. I wonder if Lois will recognize his style in one of those other bigger named papers in which his stories are now being published. So, is Superman still around or did Clark give him up too when he left Metropolis? Feli, you've started our characters at rock bottom. This story (and their lives) can only get better, right? Right?
VirginiaR. "On the long road, take small steps." -- Jor-el, "The Foundling" --- "clearly there is a lack of understanding between those two... he speaks Lunkheadanian and she Stubbornanian" -- chelo.

Rock bottom? No, our heroes could be in much worst shape. Lois could be looking at her engagement and wedding rings and Clark could be working for the U.S. Forestry Service.
Clark clearly does not want to be locales by Lois or any of his friends from Metlropilis hence the assumed name in his byline.
But Lois rather use a search engine to locate Clark why not pick up a phone and ask Jonathan or Martha where their son is?
That having been written, Feli has presented a very interesting AU, one which can only get better as each chapter unfolds.
This reader awaits ....

Another long story from NostalgiaKick-yay! I hope you won't treat poor Scardino too badly in your plot, since I have a (very) soft spot for him these days... Like, I'm selectively re-watching all the 2nd series snippets he's in! :P

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not sure why both of my (published) long stories have started with a depressed Clark wandering the globe, but oh well. It seems to be working (for these two stories anyway). I probably should have warned everyone that this story contains zero A plot. VirginiaR- yeah, they're pretty close to rock bottom. It could be worse, but still... As for the rest of what you brought up, you'll just have to keep on reading Morgana- US Forestry Service? Hehehe. I'm glad you find my concept intriguing HiddenMoon- I'm not a huge fan of Scardino, much for the same reason I'm not a huge fan of Mayson- he gets in the way! That said, I will at least promise that I haven't killed him off or anything like that.

'Scardino- Lane Dennis and Alice Scardino are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Daniel, to Lois, daughter of Samuel and Ellen Lane. Wedding arrangements will be disclosed at a later date' Blech! Serves Clark right for not staying and fighting for what he wants, but it still makes my stomach queasy! I probably should have warned everyone that this story contains zero A plot. Well, that just makes me want to read it even more!
You can find my stories as Groobie on the nfic archives and Susan Young on the gfic archives. In other words, you know me as Groobie.

Hey Feli ! Thrilled to start this story, and even more excited having read the first chapter . I have a soft spot for AU stories--I love seeing how, regardless of the situation, Lois and Clark are meant to be. Completely romantic ... Which--not surprisingly--leads to me having absolutely no problem with a lacking A-Plot. Yippie ! Bring on the relationship-related-angst-turned-hopefully-love . Can't wait! 'Just call me Dan' Scardino, huh? Agree with your take--he, like Mayson, just sorta got in the way. An engaged Lois, to Dan Scardino? That should be interesting, though . Great start! Laura

Ooh, more comments Serves Clark right for not staying and fighting for what he wants He does have a habit of running from difficult situations, whether they're putting his secret at risk or something closer to the heart. In a way, I guess they're just different sorts of danger- one risks his secret and the other risks his self. Hmm. Well, that just makes me want to read it even more! Which--not surprisingly--leads to me having absolutely no problem with a lacking A-Plot. Thank you Susan and Laura, you just put my mind at ease... I was dubious about posting this story simply because it felt odd to me to have it go so long and have no A plot. I know other writers manage to pull it off, hopefully I do at least an okay job of it.

Great start! Oh, wonderful - no A plot to get in the way of the B plot!

Loving this - always thought there was a nice symmetry to the Lois/Dan mess vs the Lois/Luthor mess, but there are very few fics that explore it. Be interested to see what happens when she finds Clark.. Instinct would say, twice burned, thrice mad. But then, this is Clark...
