Feedback folder.
Bet you thought I'd given up on these! Also, yes, I know this is ridiculously short.

I know. Say nice things. Isn't Clark a terrific wuss? And a potentially great stalker at heart who just can't leave her alone for a second.

OMG! I love this. Conventional wisdom would say the relationship would be over, but in LnC world and ours its never over.

Short, but powerful. I'm glad that the conventional wisdom proved wrong in this case. Joy, Lynn p.s., RJS, it seems to me that Clark was acting far more like a stalker in the pilot when he lurked outside her window. I must admit to finding that behaviour more than a bit creepy; it was definitely not one of his finer moments.

Yay for feedback Folc- thanks I finally managed to write it so Clark didn't sound like a petulant child! RJS- not sure where you're getting this whole 'no negative feedback' thing from. You want to leave CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, go right ahead, I'm a big girl. I'm not quite sure how staying to work on their relationship equates to stalking, however. As Lynn said down the page, hovering outside her window in the pilot is much creepier. Carrie- thank you! Lynn- yeah I tried to flesh it out but that completely ruined the flow. I think this is the shortest story I've ever written LOL. Definitely agree with the lurking outside her window thing- THAT was stalkerish.

NK, my comment that it was short was not intended as a criticism; after all, you know that my stories don't need the Reader's Digest abridgment treatment; they come pre-abridged. One of the advantages of writing fanfic (as opposed to, say, a televised script) is that we can make our writing as long or as short as necessary for the maximum impact. I'd say your story, while short, was just the right length for what you were trying to accomplish. Joy, Lynn

I know. Say nice things. Isn't Clark a terrific wuss? And a potentially great stalker at heart who just can't leave her alone for a second. RJS,I think you maybe don't understand what constructive criticism is. It's not 'Say Nice things' it's 'be constructive'. You stated you think Clark's a wuss. Why? What makes him a wuss? He doesn't want to give up on Lois? He doesn't want to give up on the relationship he's been working for for the last three years? He proposed in the first place? What exactly makes him a wuss. Feli can't understand the criticism and grow from it if you don't give constructive criticism. (ie: elaborate on your points) Great potential stalker? He was a perfect stalker in the Pilot, wasn't he? Flying outside Lois' window and being a peeping Tom? Not very Super-manly. I think even Dean threw out a 'Stalker' comment on the commentary DVD. Not sure what exactly made him a stalker in this fic or episode though. Again, elaborate on your criticisms. Give examples. Otherwise, all it is is a negative statement and a writer scratching their head in confusion. You don't have nice feedback. That's fine. But be sure to be constructive in your criticism.

Beautiful capture of Clark's emotions. He's devastated, yet he doesn't give up on true love. Brief and to the point, which is an art form, IMO. Or maybe that just where your muse led you.

Great story! Clark is heart broken, but than at that time, so was Lois. There was a lot of things she had to work her way through. Sometimes you have to step back and look at everything with a clearer eye.
After knowing each other as good friends for three years, my husband asked me out on a date. I said a very firm 'no', at the time since I wasn't ready. But thankfully he decided to hang in there and remain friends. We are getting ready to celebrate twenty-four years of marriage.
That's what Clark wants to do as well. Be patient and be her friend. Nothing wussy about that.

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

Short but lovely! I enjoyed it very much.

Great little ficlet, NK! Short, but super-sweet. Clark's persistence is such a huge part of his character, it's what makes him good as Superman where all these other heroes might waver. I don't think the tone of this matches any sort of stalker-ish impressions. This piece is definitely more focused on his feelings for Lois, and even though Lois said no to his proposal in the episode it wasn't a hard no-i-never-want-to-see-you-again thing. She turned down his proposal, but she didn't hate him. Makes a difference to his reaction. But that being said, I think there's great potential for a story there with a much darker twist, RJS. You should try taking a crack at it. I'm always searching for another brave soul to kill characters with me. Question for you, NK. Am I missing out on 43 other stories like this??? Are they all independent fics? You said AFS #44... WHAT?!?!? LET ME FIND THEM!!! OMG, I'm so excited sorry that came out in all caps.

Haha, yes Mouse there really are 43 more of these. The TOC is a pinned post on the TOC forum. They're all standalone fics
