Sorry for posting delays. This has been a weird week on a lot of levels, and it culminated in a campout with 11 7-year-olds. So fun.

I'm actually about done writing this story. Looks like it may be 13 parts or so, but don't quote me on that. We still have an epilogue to get to. As for this part...Laura's MIL is a piece of work, and it's rather hard to write for that, since my MIL is very much not like that. We all have people in our lives, though, that make everything a big production, and I'm no different. Hope I do them justice.

Hope you enjoyed! I should have a firmer idea of where the finish line is once I post the next part.

Part 6 comment:

DID YOU KNOW: November is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) for my 11-year-old son's class. They'll be challenged to write 10,000 words over the course of the month, and parents / adults can go for 50,000 words (though I'm not really sure what in it for me smirk ). Anyway, I see that as a challenge to finish this beast up and get it posted. So expect faster postings from me in the future.

I look forward to your comments! Thanks for reading!

Keep it coming when you can. I'm really enjoying the story. Very
unique.

Is chapter 9 the end? It seemed like it. But if there is more,
I sure would be interested. Very nice story, imaginative and well written.

Another great chapter! I really love the different dynamics you paint between the in-laws. Christy and Laura being tentative, Jon and Cruz being thick as thieves... I can't wait to read more!

On to the next one!

Oooh, I didn't even realize chapters 5 and 6 were in the same thread haha. Double comments!

I love CJ and Christy's conversation. I like that he is fighting to get her to see the good side in the hero thing, but that last little bit where he chucks his shirt and bolts after the sunlight and Christy is shocked had me rotflol Great job!
