Oooh, nanfic!!!
I love stories that have Clark and Lois meeting when they're teens and I can't wait to see where you take this.
I like the idea of Clark living with Wayne Irig and his wife. He'll get all the caramel apples he wants <g> But will this mean an early introduction to kryptonite? *shudders*

Great start!
I don't think I've seen both a orphaned Clark and Lois in Smallville in the same story before. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Oooooo Nan - I am more than intrigued!!! Am currently soooo not a Lana fan [though I think an Yvonne fic I read today probably has something to do with that Clark Kent, This Is Your Life - great fic, didn't like Lana] so I'm hoping that she'll not cause too many problems for our heroes. I'm curious as to who is taking Lois home everyday and why he hasn't seen her yet today. Love the Irigs. Wonder if they know the secret... More soon please!

Ditto everyone so far...a captivating start to the story! Well written - I'm already drawn into their lives. More, more!
You can find my stories as Groobie on the nfic archives and Susan Young on the gfic archives. In other words, you know me as Groobie.

Hi Nan, I'm trying very hard to post more fdk, but I'm not sure I'll be able to keep my resolution. Real Life is a bit of a downer just now. However, I was really happy to see another fic from you, and a new beginning/alt universe one. Great start and I'm looking forward to part 2. Yours Jenni

I, too, have only minimal time, but I loved it! So this is alt-Clark, twice-orphaned Clark. He seems to be doing relatively well, all things considered. I guess he is happy living with the Irigs. Lana is being a pain somewhere in one's anatomy, though, and is her father trying to make Clark sell the farm? That's a no-no!
And Lois and Lucy have moved into Smallville with their alcoholic mother! And she and Clark are only in high school! How interesting to see them meet when they are so young.
I don't have time for more, but I love it!
Ann

I'm really liking this story so far. I love Lois and Clark when they are teenagers!
I don't know what it is, but something about 'Smallville Stingrays' just makes me giggle

Cool.... This is a very subdued Lois; I guess she's feeling the weight of her family responsibilities. And pairing her with alt-Clark is just fascinating. Neither one of them have had many real-world successes yet, so the self-confidence level's gonna be a lot lower than we're used to. But on the flip side, they haven't had too many real-world failures, either! Looking forward to more... PJ p.s., I thought of you today, Nan, your Home series in particular -- there was a campaign sign telling me to re-elect Linda Lyons.

Wow, Nan! This is great!
It will be interesting to see how Clark protects a younger Lois from her alcholic mother. This is a great pretense and I'm definitely interested in seeing where it leads.
Great start!

Yeah, NanFic!!!! I promise to read this one when I actually get up for the day. James Ok, many hours later. Interesting. Can't wait to see how you develop it from here. Though, I can hear the nasal quality of Lana's voice so easily...
