Great! I loved it, joining two of my favorite universes - Star Trek and Superman! Spock nodded once. “However, Star Fleet Intelligence is still trying to discover how you came to have so much information concerning those events. The information was highly classified.”
“We could hear the Klingon Ambassador’s bellowing all the way to the Register’s offices,” Kent told him. I'm sure Clark was telling the literal truth! Except that only he could hear the Ambassador's bellowing. He watched his wife, his soulmate, grow old and die, his children, his grandchildren. That is so sad! And yet Clark very probably faces that. One thing I'm not clear on - did Clark and Louisa leave before the Kryptonian embassy arrived? Or did they stay there, watching the embassy arrive? Or is Clark Ambassador El?

"Welcome to Earth, Ambassador Lara Kal-El.” So, is this Clark's mother? (No, wait - she died when Krypton exploded, right?) Or is it one of his children? (No, wait, they grew old and died on Earth, right?) Or, from her name, this is Clark's daughter, right? How'd she get to New Krypton? I'm missing some backstory here.

Okay, maybe I'm too subtle for my own good - the New Kryptonians had space travel before Earth did, plus stealth technology. So they've been in contact with Earth off and on since their first contact in 1996, but nobody remembers it except as tall tales.
Since Kryptonians resemble humans so closely, they probably were able to travel to Earth fairly easily after the Federation was set up, even if they didn't reveal the location of their home planet.
Lara Kal-El will be Clark's daughter, either with Louisa (in which case she looks very good for her age) or her predecessor or even a New Krypton lady while he was between Lois incarnations.

Okay, maybe I'm too subtle for my own good. No, you're OK. It's me who's dense. I need everything explained and served to me on a platter. Thank you for doing that.

I couldn’t stop smiling when I saw this. After talking about crossovers all day this was just wonderful! And I must admit that like Lieta, I was also having visions of Nan’s Home series. Very, very nicely done! Bob

Hey, Dandello, Awww... This is a great story. But I'd like another little story of Kirk's reaction when he finds out that Clark is Kal-El... The Superman of legend. And it reminds me that I need to get in gear and finish my ST cross-over because people kept asking me about one of the characters and only Elisabeth knows the answer. Nancy

Nah...It would be more natural for Spock to start an investigation and only find tantilizing clues (Clark's been around long enough that he could get rid of most of the evidence... James

Very nice crossover! I enjoyed the character tidbits that show you know the characters from both fandoms well. A tall dark haired woman, who bore a striking resemblance to Kent and his wife, stepped forward and gave a small bow. "Kindred in the bonds, I greet thee."
The Federation president returned the bow. “I am honored to welcome New Krypton as a member of the United Federation of Planets. Welcome to Earth, Ambassador Lara Kal-El.” But...but .../me sputters. You can't leave it there. It does work great as a stand-alone, but I'd love more. Brenda

Like this (and sequel) a lot. Centuries of myth suddenly come to life, and the Federation Time Police (forget what they were called) have yet another problem on their hands...

The Time Cops will only have a problem if Kirk carries through his ruminations about going back and collecting the Daily Planet's archives - Clark lived through all that time, so the Time Cops don't have jurisdiction.
But they might have issues with Wells and Tempus (the Star Trek evil Alt-verse was one where Tempus succeeded in destroying Superman?)

From "Only a Fairy Tale" To one side of her, Kirk could see Kent beaming with pride and the Ambassador was smiling back at him. But remember, it was just a fairy tale. Superman probably never existed. I read the story from fanfiction.net, so was confused about why people were confused. This is the ending of the story there. Really great story Dandello. You're juggling a lot of universes these days! Artemis

The confusion has occurred because last few paragraphs underwent some serious revision here based on the feedback. As originally written, it was unclear as to who the New Kryptonian Ambassador was or what Kirk's thoughts, and potential realizations, about Clark's 'fairy tale' were. Sometimes what I see in my head for a scene doesn't quite make it onto the page. Which is why feedback is so nice.

I was hooked in the first paragraph. Fabulous. It's particularly moving since it tells so much in so few words.
