Hi, Beautiful part. Love the way Perry talk about Lois. “I can’t ask you this…”
“You’re not asking. I’m giving it to you. Lois, I want to give you everything I have. But, most of all, I want to give you my heart, my soul. My love.”
Lois’s face lit up. “That’s all I’m asking for.”
She returned in his embrace, calmer now, but happy too. Every single doubt she ever had was gone.
He loved her. And that was all she needed. Beautiful!

If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

What did you mean when Martha told Lois not to act so typical? I have never heard anything like that before? Did she mean don't act like a guest, or maybe, make yourself comfortable? I think that sentance sounds a little off. Cute story though. It doesn't seem typical of Lois's normal behavior, but it is interesting. Laura

I think it always goes so much better when Lois knows right away that Clark is Superman. That was the biggest mistake ever, and I loved that Lois knew him well enough to recognize him as Superman right away.
And the best thing John Byrne ever did was to bring back Martha and Jonathan from the dead!! Those midwest values have so shaped the person that he is.
As an aside, and I deviate, sorry, last year I was driving across country, and I stayed overnight in Hays, Kansas. I stopped for breakfast and on the radio was Five for Fighting's "Superman - it's not easy". How ironic to hear that in Kansas!!
Looking forward to lucky #13!

Just returned from a three-days excursion with school. Sorry for being a little late to reply. Laura, thanks for your observations. Do you think Lois is acting out of character? Also: Did she mean don't act like a guest Yeah, that's what I was trying to say. AnKS and Chris, thank you for taking the time to catch up with my story and post feedback, too! Maria, Jose, Tricia and Merry, thank you too for your nice comments. I'll try to have part 13 ready asap. See ya, AnnaBtG.
