Welcome back, Laura. I'm glad to see you back with this. I have only a very little time, so I'm sorry that this will be short. One thing I really appreciated when I read this part is how well the story goes with the title - fire and ice. Lois Lane is like fire, of course, but in his own way, this Clark is an iceman. He is milky pale, and he needs blood to warm him and to stay alive. But here, he embraced Lois, and he found another source of warmth to sustain him. I loved that. You made me feel that this Clark can be "cured", or at least saved, and that Lois Lane is his salvation.

I'm rather glad that there will be only four parts, too. Don't get me wrong, but this situation is so weird that it needs to be put right rather quickly. And even I, the A-plot critic, liked the A-plot here. I'm glad that things are moving along so quickly! So please come back with more soon, now! smile

I really like this story. smile1 It's very different, and yet you keep true to the spirit of Lois and Clark.

Clark is still trying to control his powers and use them for good, and resist the temptation that is Lois Lane. (Okay, so the temptation now includes eating her. goofy )

Lois is still moony-eyed for Clark's alter-ego. (Erm, which in this case happens to be the reporter.) And she's still head-strong and determined to get what she wants--and get the story first!

I can't wait for part 3!!

What happened to this story? I expected it to be done and waiting for me.

Well in any case, I'm enjoying how different this is and still surprised that its being posted on the g-side. laugh

“I cried on your shirt,” she mumbled out, keeping shaky hands around his waist.

“It’s okay,” he said softly. “I’m sure I’ll return the favor someday.”
I don't even know why. smile I just really, really like it.
