Hi,

Great part. smile1

Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age.

Another excellent part.

Having already told you my problem with the way L&C handled it, I imagine you can guess how pleased I am with your excellent explanation as to why Clark uses glasses. But please don't make your timid Clark into the Clark of the Superman movies! (pretty please?)

Nice conversation with Martha, I loved her gentle ribbing.

Interesting to see Lana be the first victim of Clark's disappearing act. And just how much does Pete know? I am enjoying this so far, and anxiously awaiting... MORE!

First of all, Michael, welcome to the boards! smile It's always great to see a new author, especially one with an engaging turn of phrase. laugh

I've just read both parts. I was especially moved by the emotional strength of your section with Jor-El and Lara; you gave us a very clear picture of their desperation, their love and their determination. Very well done!

You seem to be moving rather smoothly through the typical comic mythos (at least, the pre-Crisis one), so that's all good. I do hope you're not going to completely "wimpify" Clark, though. The Clark of LnC has always been the post-Crisis version, in which Clark is the real person, not Superman.

A recommendation for you: get us to Metropolis as quickly as you can! smile There aren't many comic fans here. We need some Lois. Quick. goofy

Hazel, looking forward to MORE!

Lois: You know the deal.
Clark: Superman gets the guys in capes, Lois and Clark get the guys in suits.

Ha! Don't worry, we're almost there, but I have to set the whole thing up first. Give me one more "Smallville" part and then we get to see the lights of the big city.

I won't give away any spoilers, but Dean's Clark has always been my favorite so there'll definitely be an influence, but with a little bit of change though not for the "wimpy" side I assure you. wink

I just have some theories on the Clark/Superman thing that don't fall entirely in the pre or post crisis camp that I'd like to explore.

Thanks for the welcome. I've posted some stories under a penname on some other boards for "Smallville" fandom, but L&C has always seemed like "the big leagues" to me so this is my first venture here.

I love the show and have long been an admirer of this board and the writers who post here so thanks for the praise it means a lot coming from the people it does. smile

Oops, make that two parts until the big city blush , but trust me I need them to set the story up. They'll go fast, trust me. Have I ever lied to you?

Mom, be quiet, that's not important for them to know. Mo-om...please I'm typing here. Sorry folks, a slight misundertanding. Mo-om, stop it! They dropped the charges Ok? Geeez, like no one ever made a mistake before.

Anyway, we now return you to your regularly scheduled lives...
