Great work, Erin! I loved the idea of Lois unable even to look after a Tamagochi! And as for buying new ones every time one keeled over from dehydration... ROFL!!! So, now that you've shown us that you can still write fic, isn't it about time you wrote some more? Wendy

Erin, honey, it's been waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long! And reading this just reminded me of how much I've missed your particular brand of writing. The witty narrative - that opening line was a classic - the perfect, spot-on characterisation, the wonderful blend of comedy and waffs, that just gell so beautifully. Loved the tag line. Loved every line. It made me laugh, it made me spurt Pepsi out of my nose, it made me sigh happily and it left me with a warm glow. Where's Long Road Home? <G> LabRat

Thanks for all the wonderful feedback, guys! It's always nice to hear someone has enjoyed something I've written. Originally posted by Saskia: Now that you're back to writing, any hope there'll be more from you soon? Yes, Saskia! I'm flattered you asked. With the help of some very helpful BRs, I'm diving back into "The Long Road Home" now that most of my kids are back in school and I have a few extra minutes each day. I'm hoping <crossing fingers> to start posting it at the end of next week!

Well, add me to the list of people who enjoyed this one, Erin. From exploding oatmeal to the pile of virtual corpses to the ever so waffy ending, this was a great story.
I think it should come with a little note, though, that says "no pets were harmed in the making of this story." <g>
So cool to have you back and writing again.
Must remember to thank Lynn for teasing you and Sarah back out of hiding.
BTW, if LRH is coming back from break, will you be reposting the earlier parts?
Paul, getting his virtual knife, fork, and bib ready for what looks to be an upcoming banquet of new and delicious fic...
When in doubt, think about penguins. It probably won't help, but at least it'll be fun.
