Hi!
My first (ok, first published) fic
The other is a WIP which will hopefully make an appearance on these boards before the turn of the century. Just kidding.
So, are there enough clues hidden in there?

A Patchwork FamilyHe had been an only child. It was not that his Dad had lacked the opportunity. It was more of a matter of time for him to make their small family bigger. And he had always wanted siblings. He never doubted his Dad would love them all equally. But he also had never imagined his Dad marrying HER.
The witch his Dad had brought home one day. His Dad wouldn’t approve of it, he knew, but he just couldn’t help it. He didn’t like her. And he was pretty sure it was mutual. He still remembered the first time he had met her. The way she had looked down at him. Like he didn’t even deserve to be there at all.
And now they were moving in together! That was when he learned he was going to have siblings. She actually had three of her own. He couldn’t believe it! He had always thought she just didn’t like them. But now he wasn’t so sure anymore that it might not just be him. The way she cradled them, showed them their new home. It was almost comical if he didn’t feel so rejected.
It was then when he realized, that it might not be dislike per se. His new Stepmom was – jealous of him. He wasn’t sure why. Her own were just as sparkling as he was. And just because he was a year younger than her youngest couldn’t mean that much. Now could it?

It had been a couple of months now and he noticed that she actually looked after him, too. It was not the same proud look she gave her own. But he thought that it was still a rather fond look. Not like his Dad looked at him, or at hers, but still, she was not indifferent to him anymore.
And then, one evening, they were standing in front of them, telling them that they were expecting another one. And that was when she touched him. She actually caressed him like he had seen her caress her own so often before. And he knew that their little patchwork family was finally going to be complete.
