For anyone who's been wondering what's happening with the fundraiser DVD, read on for the latest scoop!

What's this fundraiser thing all about?

As many of you will remember, we are organising another fundraiser for our favourite Lois and Clark fanfic/FoLC Productions websites. These sites are available freely for all our enjoyment, but they cost money to run - to say nothing of all the many hours of time their owners/managers put into them. But it's the hard cash we're talking about here, specifically webhosting charges.

The sites I'm talking about are:

The Lois and Clark Fanfiction Archive
Annesplace, incorporating the Nfic Archive
The Fanfic Message Boards
FoLC Video , hosting fan-made videos, trailers and fanfic movies
The new Kerth Awards site
The Alt-Kerths website

The fundraiser will be launched officially at the Kerth Awards ceremony on 1 April. More details of how we will collect donations will be available by then. And, to help us raise money, we are creating a DVD of FoLC productions which will be available in return for a minimum donation.

What will be on the DVD?

The DVD will contain stories by some of your favourite authors in FoLCdom. Each story will have a trailer or poster dedicated to it, created by the amazingly talented creative FoLCs we're so fortunate to have. And there will also be music videos by all your favourite video artists.

We are now in a position to release a provisional list of contents!

Stories:
Super... Who? by Tank Wilson and Wendy Richards
The Gripe Sheet by Marns aka Bumpkin
Better to Have Loved... And Lost? by Tank Wilson and Wendy Richards
Breakfast at Callards... Or Not by Pam Jernigan

George's Big Day Out by Yvonne Connell

When You Can't See the Wood by LabRat

Me and My Big Mouth by Julie Stars
An Affair to Remember - Epilogue by David

And we present a special feature bonus! smile1

a video introduction to the Fundraiser DVD by the incredibly talented Paul-Gabriel Weiner.

We're sure you'll agree that this is an impressive line-up of talent, and we hope you'll be itching to send us your money once the appeal is launched. Full details of how donations will be collected, as well as the minimum donation required for a DVD, will be announced very soon. We hope you're looking forward to this as much as we are. smile

If you have any questions we haven't yet answered, please either post them here or email any member of the Fundraiser Committee.

I am certainly looking forward to this. That's an impressive set of pieces that will be going into the DVD. Thanks for the update, Wendy.

Now that the Kerths are done (well, for me anyway since I just voted) I thought I'd bring this back to the top to remind folcs that it should be happening shortly.

Thanks, Artemis! Certainly is. We're busily putting it all together as we speak. Look out for an announcement soon. I think you'll all be suitably impressed. wink

That's explained in This post , but basically, since you're in the US, email Annette ( amciotola at aol dot com ), and she'll tell you how to donate (she's the US collector, and the one who makes and sends out the DVDs).

Just a note to let UK Folcs know that I've just asked Annette to send me enough DVDs for those who've sent me contributions. If you're just about to send a donation, please let me know within the next couple of days so that I can make sure Annette sends DVDs for you, too - otherwise you may have to wait until I visit Wendy in August. smile

And a note for Canadian FoLCs: I am heading to PA next weekend - the Victoria Day weekend - to visit Annette and will be picking up the Canadian supply of DVDs at that point. So if you want a DVD and haven't donated yet, get your cheque to me before the end of next week! (no cheque, no DVD wink ).

It will still be possible for Canadian FoLCs to get DVDs after the Victoria Day weekend, but as Annette would then have to mail them to you from the US we would have to increase the minimum donation to include a larger contribution to cover international postage.
