Ooh, I just noticed this story being posted tonight. I love a good WHAM! I like seeing how characters have to deal with situations and the emotional rollercoaster that goes with it. Thank heavens for Ian. Clark is going to be beating himself up for a long time...hopefully he'll get over that as the story progresses. Thus ends my nighttime ramblings; I look forward to more!

Whoa! Very nicely done, Wanda. You've shown just enough of the horror so as not to creep people out totally goofy but at the same time you haven't trivialised what happened. The hospital scenes are excellent - and it's so nice to see Ellen coming through for Lois. thumbsup

Clark's reaction when Perry told him was really good. I can so see him blaming himself for not being there when she needed him - and when the other victim was attacked, too. Poor Clark! Poor Lois! mecry

The red rose was a beautiful touch. And I was surprised - but went awww! - when I found out that Clark is Lois's emergency contact. Not her parents? That says a lot about her relationship with them as a rule. Oh, and I wonder how Ellen feels about not being her daughter's emergency contact? confused

Really liking this so far, Wanda - post more soon!

Ohh I feel the free flowing guilt comin' on! wink

Sweet gesture from Clark re: the rose..awwww! And Ellen is normal! I am happy to see her supporting Lois.

Lois: Can I go?
Clark: No.
Lois: Oh come on, Clark, why do we go through this? We both know I’m going to go.
Clark: Then why do you ask?
Lois: I’m trying to be nice.

Wanda, this is excellent. Clark's first reaction of "I should have been there to prevent this" is exactly what it should have been, and it's so typical of caring men. He won't believe that he's unable to prevent every bad thing from happening to Lois.
I can just imagine Clark telling a therapist that he feels guilty because he should have been there, the therapist asks him if he thinks he's Superman, he answers "Yes," and he gets committed to a mental institution. I'm sure you won't go quite that far, but this kind of guilt is common and often misunderstood. I anticipate a very good story continuing to be very good.
The only complaint I have about your posts is that they're too short! More, please, and quickly!

This second part clearly keeps in line with its predecessor. It's great writing, great characterization.

I can fully understand Lois feeling dirty even if the rape wasn't completed. And like the others, I just love Clark's reaction. I couldn't imagine it being any other way.

Ellen is a big surprise here. Especially her remark concerning Lois and Clark's relationship. It's a refreshing change!

I can't wait for the next part(s).
