Wanda, I'm so glad to see this story back! (Okay, not that I've been around in the past couple of weeks to miss it
but that's beside the point).
Excellent, excellent part! I'm so glad that you didn't have Lois sulk and stay mad for ages; in the context of this story, you were so right. But this was a fantastic insight:
‘If I was Super, and Clark was just a man... What if he only liked me as SuperLois? And as regular Lois, he acted like I didn’t exist?’ With that realization, her heart ached more than it ever had. Her eyes stung with tears as she sat there, contemplating in her dark bedroom. She racked her brain, thinking back on all of the times she’d ignored Clark, mooning instead over his alter-ego.
“God, how it must have hurt,” Lois whispered aloud. ‘If he loves me like he says he does...’
Lois putting herself in Clark's shoes, and in such an apposite way, is a perfect way to make her see the reality of the situation. Just brilliant!
I was also delighted to see her remembering Clark being there for her every step of the way since she was attacked. And, as Maria said, this ended very romantically indeed. Lovely!
So what happens next? They have to catch the rapist, of course. Only three more parts!
Hope you won't need so long with the next section!
