A-ha. That's pretty much what I thought, actually. Poor Clark... and I'm sorry to see that Lana seems every bit as disgusting/manipulative/evil as I'd feared... But I can see how he'd hesitate to leave her, considering the implicit threat to reveal him to the world.

And then, one has to wonder, who is she working for? eek

What's a Skywatch? How's our Clark doing? Why is Dr. Klein nervous?? Will Jimmy's date understand???

Looking forward to more...

I think I will just start following Pam around and saying ditto.

It will be very efficient, don't you think? wink

I just remembered. No new part until Monday?!? eek thud

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Once again the gentle readers are misinterpeting Lana's motivations. She's really just trying to protect Clark here.

The reason she is doing all this 'spying' and reporting back to some shadow agency (probably bureau 39) is to continually prove to them that Clark is not a threat to them as long as she is there to 'control' him. Her comments about her being able to teach him how to supress any alien behavior just proves it. Let's face it, could Lana really hang out with the guy for all these years if she wasn't truly in love with him even though he is 'different'?

Skywatch sounded important - he’d drawn her into a compelling tale of deceit and wrecked dreams and now she was ready for the next chapter
And so am I! smile

Gosh, this Lana is really creepy. frown

More soon, Yvonne!

Lois: Well, I like my quirks. I think they make me unique.
Clark: You certainly are unique.

Clark: You're high maintenance, you know that?
Lois: But I'm worth it!

It is nice to have my guesses vindicated. I can't imagine Lana reporting to anyone but Bureau 39, yet Jason Trask being content to control Clark (study him?) rather than kill him is equally unimaginable.

Wonder if there is some connection between his Skywatch, our transporter, and the swap between Clarks...
