This is really good. Yvonne, I hope you won't mind if I say that you didn't really surprise me with anything here... well, other than revealing what Skywatch was, but I was kind of assuming there'd be something like that, so... and Lana! I suspected something along these lines, but it's still incredible to think of her prostituting her whole life like this. Sorry, Tank, but this Lana is looking like a heartless evil witch. PJ

This where I say "ditto" a bunch again. Just one additional comment. Still, the man sleeping on their sofa downstairs really did need to gather the strength together to leave Lana. If he was here much longer, she’d tell him that. Quite often. *nods emphatically* Good!
Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

I'd had the idle thought that Skywatch was like SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence), but I was still stuck on it being some kind of alt-version of STAR Labs transporter project. So I didn't make the leap to Bureau 39's eye-out for ETs.
Man, just the thought of Lana makes me want to hurl. I don't know how she could think of Clark as a thing, an "it" and still sleep with him--and then turn around and use Kryptonite on him. My dogs aren't humans, either, but that doesn't mean I have a right to treat them the way she has been treating Clark. Uggghhhh.
Anyway, I'm glad our Clark is in AC's place so he can take care of that situation. Looking forward to the next part.

OK, Yvonne, I thought you were on a more frequent posting schedule than this. It's been almost 4 days. How long till the next post?

*twitch* The frequent posts were only until we got caught up to the nfic, I believe. Now we only get one part a week! *twitch*

/me happens to know that Yvonne is actually very close to finishing this story, and that she has a buffer of around 100 pages. Since I'll be seeing her tomorrow, I promise to work on her for you guys to get her to post more often... as long as you guys can keep up with the reading-and-feedback side of the deal. Wendy

Hello. Yes, you're now on a weekly posting schedule along with the nfic boards, and no, I'm not going to change that schedule because I write so slowly these days that I'd run out of buffer if I posted any more quickly. Sorry!
Anyway, many thanks for the comments and nagging, and part 5 will be up shortly.

"Shortly"--is that today or tomorrow? I didn't even realize you were writing an nfic version of this, so I had no idea about the nfic posting schedule. What day of the week will you be posting? Monday?

Yes, Sheila, Mondays. Shortly originally meant within the next few minutes, but then I discovered that there was a short section that was going to take a bit more thinking to make it suitable for PG - and at that point, I had to go out for a while. Anyway, I'm back now, and the very next thing I'm going to do is post the next section. Yvonne
