We've had word from our webhost that they will be shifting our account to new servers over the coming days. They advise that we may experience intermittent loss of service during this time.

Quote
Although this window could last approximately 24-72 hours it typically
only lasts 48 hours before your site becomes fully functional again.
So if you can't access the mbs over the next few days, don't panic - normal service will be resumed shortly.

Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

Thank you for the heads up, LabRat! thumbsup

Is it supposed to (probably) happen before the New Year, or could we have problems during the next weekend?

We're advised 'over the next day or so...'

Just giving a heads-up to those posting these days:

It seems that posts are disappearing during this server shifting period; the link might still be there, but it is not showing on the folder listing (see Carol\'s recent story post in the Fanfic folder ). It might take until the end of the transfer (if at all) to normalize this. I've seen it happen before.

You might want to keep a copy of whatever you post (FDK, stories, etc.) in case it cannot be recovered.

Malu, that's a good idea! If I enter a note on a patient at work at a certain time, it is saved to one server while the other server is updating or some such and it doesn't end up making it to the final "save" list and so it is effectively lost. I end up having to re-enter the notes, and I've learned the hard way to save a lengthy note on wordpad until the servers have finished their stuff. So, I think your idea is excellent and prudent.

I ran some maintenance so this issue doesn't occur. I also cleared the server cache.

I would suggest that if there is anything older than 24 hours that's missing please try reposting it.

I might also rebuild member stats is issues persist. Sometimes this needs to be ran when a physical server switch takes place.

Thanks for your patience,

Annette wink

Thanks for the work, Annette!
