And I agree with you as to Clark's reply to Lois in the original episode - even if he had to think quickly, saying he just wasn't attracted to her was pretty dumb. I always thought it was kind of out-of-character for him, especially in light of his other really lame excuses. He should have been able to come up with something else. You guys are quoting some of the stuff I like best about this section, too. The 'settling for flying' part, and the 'treeful of cats' part.
