Very sad story but very well done. The feelings came through and settled down in the reader, making the reader feel what Clark was feeling. On another note A revelation story where Lois isn't angry, and hositile. I placed my hand on the cool glass of the window. “Clark?” So she know. And Lois for all her failings is very loyal to her friends. In a few minutes she is going to worried about Martha. I can see her on the phone, calling Martha, trying to find someway to help.

Perfectly lovely from start to finish. You have a wonderful way with these short angsty pieces, capturing complicated emotions and relationships with a delicate touch I really admire. Thanks so much for sharing this Best, Caroline

I just noticed this one today. Wow... just wow. I don't know if I can even put into words how beautifully sad this was. I've sat here for about 10 minutes trying to do just that. I guess you can just chalk it up to you writing well enough to leave me speechless. Thanks for writing it and sharing it with us.

That was just so beautiful - beginning to end. I read it they day it came out but was hesitant to write something.
I had to dab my face with my t-shirt.
I can't tell you how much I like the ending. WOW. Like Wendy said, this one is on my Kerth list.
I've converted to lurk-ism... hopefully only temporary.

This story was spectacular. I saw Clark the whole time and understood his need to just be with Lois in his time of grief. The ending was perfect! Truly beautiful, and going on my Kerth list. I can't say it any better than that! Susan

Shayne and Yvonne back on the boards with new stories - how lucky can we readers get? Don't forget to celebrate the return of your Muse, Y, with a little email to the Archive. LabRat

I enjoyed this when it first showed up on the board and just reread it on the archive. Very well done. I can't write feeling but I do enjoy reading them, brings the characters to life. He’d chew my ear if he suspected I’d been misusing my abilities.” You can just hear Jonathan's voice. I'd really like to see a sequel. Lois calls Perry telling him she needs to go to Smallville that Clark's father died. She arrives in Smallville just to be there for Clark, so he can stay strong for his mother and friends.

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.
