Hey, I didn't get the Smallville reference really, either, and I've seen every episode. Maybe it's because Green Arrow has been on Smallville of late.

Presumably the joke is that Lois on Smallville has been involved with Aquaman and Green Arrow. If this continues, the entire JLA will have had the pleasure of...rescuing her by the time she gets around to Clark.
Fanfic | MVs Clark: "Lois? She's bossy. She's stuck up, she's rude... I can't stand her."Lana: "The best ones always start that way.""And you already know. Yeah, you already know how this will end." - DeVotchKa

I didn't get that joke when I was asking about Lois rescuing herself.
I was taking it more at face value.
In *that* sense, I think I'll go with Queen of the Capes and try not to think dirty thoughts.
I think, therefore, I get bananas.

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Superman: Why is it that good villains never die? Batman: Clark, what the hell are good villains? => Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

I think the Queen should write a vignette about that "drunken episode with Wonderwoman."

lol. What the...? How in the world did you come up with something like that? I was just sitting here, writing an extremely angsty part of the fic I'm currently working on, and see that this fic has had a lot of reviews. I'm getting ready for bed, feeling a bit black-hearted, and decide to give it a try to cheer me up a bit so I don't have nightmares. SmirkyRaven

Sorry to bring up this old thread, but I've seen references to this fic, and it made me think. I don't believe I'll ever be able to listen to the song Rescue Me in the same way. Btw, where's that bit on the drunken episode with Wonder Woman? Huh?
