Hey look! I'm *starting* a feedback thread! You should feel very privileged! You sell yourself short. This is cute and well-written and inspired a few giggle-fits from me. "Right. Let me know when you actually meet one, OK? Oh, and be careful Trask, cause you know..." he had told his friend, laughing like crazy, "if you piss off the wrong alien, it could get you killed!" Tsk, tsk. Shoulda listened! Good fic, Lara. (Now get to those other stories )

"Drop it already, Trask. There's no such thing as alien abductees."
"Trust me, Mulder. One day, you will believe, too." Cute story, Lara, but wait, who was trying to convince whom of alien abductions? Fox Mulder was the one whose sister was abducted.... Sorry I missed it when you first posted...

I didn't mention because it would have spoiled it, but this is supposed to take place *before* Mulder's sister was abducted. I'll go add a note at the bottom. edit: OK, I added a note. Here's the whole reasonning... As adults, both these guys believe in aliens. I just made it so that Mulder originally doesn't - not before his sister is abducted, at which point he's absolutely convinced. And Trask, well, we don't really know why he believes in them and thinks they're hostile - do we? I just imagined he might have seen someone being abducted. Eh... This was a 20 minute thing... trust me, I didn't put nearly as much thought into that as I normally would have.

I want to believe, too! (Okay, this was just a jibe at that poster often seen in the X-files.)
Well, I couldn't help it, this was funny. Mulder not believeing - ha!

Really, liked it, Lara. "Right. Let me know when you actually meet one, OK? Oh, and be careful Trask, cause you know..." he had told his friend, laughing like crazy, "if you piss off the wrong alien, it could get you killed!" gotta love irony. <g> And Trask, well, we don't really know why he believes in them and thinks they're hostile - do we? I just imagined he might have seen someone being abducted. Eh... lol - in a fic I wrote, Connections, Trask's sister is abducted by aliens - hence his motivation, etc. c.

Mellie - thanks I want to believe too. hehe! Carol - glad you enjoyed! When you mentioned Mulder in your post on the challenge thread, it really got me thinking. The ironic comment at the end was the first line I came up with, the rest was only written so I could put that in somewhere. *lol* I'll go check out Connections for sure. Thanks! Darcy - thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

Nice fic, Lara. I have to admit that I gave up watching the X-files, because... well first of all my parents weren't to keen on that series and I was just thirteen or so when it started. So no chance. And the problem about the whole thing is, that once you stop watching, you get all confused. Anyway, I liked Fox Mulder, and honestly, how is he supposed to be Trasks friend? I mean, he seemed like a nice guy at that time, even though he pushed Scully to the edge more than once. Oh, of course you can't tell much by the German translation. I guess what I really would have liked to find out in this mystery was if Scully and Mulder would stop to address each other formally after the eighth season or so. But from what I heard she was pregnant with his child and still there was no change in their form of addressing each other. Oh, but great story Lara. Did I say that? I thing I was rambling a bit, huh?

Thanks DJ! Thanks Barbara! About the addressing each other formally thing - you know, I think in French *for once* they started off with Mulder and Scully addressing each other casually. Sorry for you English-speaking folks who have no clue what we're talking about... it's one of those things you guys are lucky you never have to worry about. And I for one envy you a *lot*. This made me want to go back and watch some more X-Files. And maybe use that little bit of text that I wrote a few months ago that had Lois chatting with Scully. hehehe! Who knows, maybe I'll post that sometime.

Very cute my dear It would be funny if the two of them had known each other as kids. How differently they both handled the idea of aliens though. There is one funny story on the archive about Mulder showing up at the Daily Planet to investigate Superman. Makes me wanna go read it now.
