I was drawn to it by your request for a beta (even though I can't do it right now - I usually don't have time to even read much anymore.). Your story was just simply lovely. Your style is really good, too. And I think you are worrying too much about making 'canon' mistakes. I've seen several authors (and very good ones) say they have never seen the entire series. I think you did a fine job with the characterization. I loved how you were able to bring out Sam's inner feelings. It's so like people who have messed up things in their lives to cover their inner feelings and show something else to the world. ~~Even heroes have the right to dream.~~

OH phew, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hasn't watched the whole series! I'll be honest - I don't actually want to watch the last episode. If I don't watch it, then I won't have a feeling of letdown that it's over and it will continue to just be an awesome show in my mind. I have all 4 seasons on DVD, and maybe one day I'll watch it all but for now, I'll just live in my denial that it's not really over.
