Chapter 110
Quote
~*~Lois~*~

"What?" he hissed.

"I think my water just broke," I said again.

Jimmy looked at me, wide-eyed. "Seriously?"

I nodded as the first real contraction hit. I closed my eyes and tried to remember the breathing exercises from the last time.
Chapter 111

~*~Clark~*~ [and Sam]

"Probably." He looked at Lois. "I do need to talk to you later," he said so softly I could barely hear.

I looked up, surprised. "What...?"

He shook his head. "Not here."

I looked at him for a long moment and nodded. "When we get home."
That first one was great wasn't it? wink

Thanks.

From part 109:

Quote
"Hey," I said, squatting next to her chair. "Are you okay?"

Her eyes were wide as she looked back at me. "I think my water just broke."

Oh, cute confused Clark. Well we've established one thing. Looking for Love is going to be Clark's tell-all memoir. Forget dictators. He'll spend the rest of his life looking for love in all the wrong places. It really can be as simple as watching your wife and child read a puppy book together, but he still needs to do some more tortured introspection to figure it all out. :p

Great parts,
JD

Slightly less speechless now - mind you, slightly less....

There were times I wanted to pour out everything to her – to tell her the whole story – but I couldn't. I couldn't bring myself to do it.
That's good. If Lois tells Martha, Martha will probably give her son a proper scolding. But Lois wants Clark to stay with her because he wants to be with her, not because his Mom has more or less ordered him to.

Sweet, funny, nice, and Lois really picks her moments. Loved it that Clark is finally putting those two lonesome cells inside his oval-shaped bone to work.

Please keep them coming. grovel I'm looking forward to lots of stress the upcoming week and then after the holidays and this fic is a real relaxant. At least as far as work goes.

That's an evil spot to stop! I was glad that she didn't go into labor on Christopher's birthday, but that doesn't mean I wanted her to wait until another chapter!

I think now would be a good time to start to start the baby pool... I pick a baby boy, Saturday after 10am EST. wink

I still am wondering what it's going to take for Clark to fall in love with Lois. I know that there have been numerous discussions on all of this--making oneself fall in love, feeling love vs being in love, etc. He says that he's been in love before and doesn't feel that with Lois. I'm concerned about what he's seeking, and in turn, what he will eventually find. This need to at least talk to Lana after he and Lois are apart to, as he put it, "see where they stand" is frustrating. If that's still in his mind, he will not be mentally free to seriously consider Lois. Is he even still attracted to Lois? He's told her that she's beautiful, but does she stir up *any* feelings besides protective urges?

For the record I'd like to say that I didn't/don't dislike Lana for being Lana in this story. In fact, I hoped that she would be a strong enough woman to not pine after Clark way back when the marriage happened. Lana's gone off and done some unwise things since then, which she's reaped consequences from, but I've never wished her anything worse than a stern escort to exit stage left. The times when I truly didn't like her were when she was evil to Lois and when she *probably* tipped off the press. While I don't hate Lana on sight and would sincerely like for her to go and be happy somewhere else, I don't have any desire to read her story, lol.

Now, back to the story. I'm happy that Martha stayed. I was a little miffed at Clark when he dissuaded her from coming when Sam was sick. The fact that Clark comforted Lois on his own made up for it, so I moved on rather quickly. Still, it's nice for Lois to have some female companionship with all those boys around. It's probably nice for Martha too.

Okay, enough rambling. I'll go and watch the clock now.

Sonia said this about Lana:

Quote

I heartily agree. With my incredibly strong dislike of 'death-of-women' fics, I never want to see a woman get her 'just rewards' by getting killed. Even when I was a small child, I was uncomfortable when the fairy tales ended with descriptions of the horrible death of the witch. Bear in mind that this is what people once did here in Europe to real women that people were scared of and used as scapegoats! whinging mecry

But Sonia also said:

Me either! :p

Chapter 330
Quote
~*~Clark~*~

"Lois? It's Clark. Listen, Lana's just had an accident, and it's pretty bad. If she doesn't make it, can I come back to you?"
Chapter 331
Quote
~*~Clark~*~

"Lois? Good news! Lana's gonna be okay. Hey, Christopher and Natie send their love. Christopher still wants you to be his Mommy instead of Lana, can you believe it?"

Hehe - I wondered if I'd get lynched for that preview. It previewed *so* much. wink

JD - so true.

Ann - So reminded of Elisabeth's new fic when you wrote that or when I read it or whatever.

Michael - So sorry about the stress. Hope this will help though I can't promise...

Lara - I thought that was fun! Who says it's a boy or a girl? We *are* talking half-alien here...

Sonia - almost time to stop watching the clock... and as for this:

Thank God. I have no desire to write it wink . However, I have written her recently and we'll find out more about her.

Ann - I was thinking solely of you when I decided not to kill Lana off. Yep. That's it... Seriously, I don't think there's any major character deaths, but I did love your previews wink .

I'm working on 121 today... Hope to get to get it done b/c that would get me through Thurs which is the day of finals. Am hoping to get that done this AM and then get my grading done over the weekend [though we have a bday party this afternoon, grocery shopping, church and more shopping tomorrow, plus company coming for Survivor finale and *really* need to get the LR cleaned up and a tree put up so we'll see], but that way if I don't get any more done I'm at least covered through my final...

Look for 110/111 in the next few...

Carol
