Yes, we should finish this one up tomorrow. But, as you know, these three stories are really three parts of one long story, so the third one is where the fun really begins.

Loved it. Sorry for not leaving feedback earlier. I'm a bit confused by two things: 1) What's with CJ and Lo... is this a different universe or they resorted to this so they can differentiate between their future/past selves. 2) This is not exactly a point of confusion, just an observation (I haven't read the other feedback threads so maybe this was covered therein)... time is moving differently in this and the future universe, so we are talking about different universes and not just past and present timelines, huh? Looking forward to more!
If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

I have to say it. Your cliffhangers are terrible. Very manipulative. Great story, though. I didn't expect Clark to be so in love with FL that he wouldn't want his own time's Lois back, but I guess it makes sense; she's closer to what he really wants, which is a Lois that loves him too. Hmm, I wonder if that means that PL, once she gets used to her kids, won't want to come back either? Interesting time paradox you've got going here. And the frustrated love and angst of the four members of the two separated couples is just delicious. I hope you don't mind my asking a logistical question. Are you going to be posting this to the archive? Because if you are I'd honestly rather avoid these very short chapters, wrenching cliffies and read all 3 stories at once; I'm terribly busy for the next few weeks and don't really have time to keep coming here on a daily basis.

You're going to finish this one up tomorrow? With Martha clubbing Lois over the head and dropping her in a well so no one will find the body?
I agree with Lois. Clark, what were you thinking? You told your mother about Lois suddenly turning into a time traveler? Have you told her that you and Lois get married and have kids? And you expected Martha to be cool with all this? Are you nuts? The only conclusion Martha could possibly come to is that Lois Lane is either trying the mother of all con games on Clark or that Lois is completely insane. Either way, she's not going to want Lois as a daughter-in-law, even when everyone is put back where they're supposed to be.
I guess if we're traveling in time, it doesn't matter who spends how much time in which universe. In fact, it might be that Wells puts them back in their proper bodies just seconds after Tempus switches them, which might erase - or hide - the memories of being bounced between times of her life.
If the third part is where the action is, bring it on!

Okay, some logistical answers: - Yes, when this goes to the archives it will go all as one piece, all three of the stories together, no breaks. I'm really not trying to torture you all I'm just a slow reviser. I'm trying to post about 5 pages/day because I have a RL deadline coming up and I really won't be able to write much after May 1 or so. - Yes, they're still in the same universe. I'm just trying to establish that FL and PC have developed their own relationship, independent of who they used to be. I'm thinking they started the nickname thing in order to keep themselves and their counterparts disctinct in some of the conversations they've had, but it's developed into an affectionate thing as well. - Thank you, Terry. Yes, this is time travel. There's no reason why the amount of time FL spends in her past has to be the same as what PL spends in her future. Anyone with a time window can drop them back wherever (or whenever) they decide to go. I know. It makes my head spin, too. - I didn't start out to create this tortuous love quadrangle. It just sort of happened. And now I've got to deal with it. Which is part of what is making part three so fun to write. (We need an irony emoticon to go here. I guess this one will have to do:  ) I appreciate everyone's feedback. It helps me think through where things need more explanation or elaboration. Some of these kinds of questions will get answered as the story progresses, but knowing what the questions are helps make sure I do eventually answer them. So thanks again. You guys rock.

Well, this is interesting. I've never seen an angry Martha. Yes, Clark, what were you thinking! And I'm also awaiting part 8 of Forshadowing! Interesting how you are linking separate stories. Very creative! Artemis

Evil, evil cliff-hanger again. (I love it.)
And good grief, Clark, why would you tell your parents?!
Re: the time travel thing, I dredged up the 'Tempus, Anyone' script just for kicks. Lois spends days in the other Metropolis, but when she gets back, Clark says, "What happened? You were gone for almost ten seconds."
Great part, JD

I'm still reading and still enjoying.
It will be interesting to see how Martha and Lois's conversation goes.
More, please.

Aargh! Another cliffy! But I'm glad you're posting regularly (and quickly). Because I can't bear to see Lois and Clark hanging!
Too late right now to make more comments, other than:
1. I'm loving the story 2. Please post more soon.

Oh boy, blabbermouth Clark told Martha and now we have a problem, huh? I really enjoy their interactions. And oh, boy, Lois is already worried about PML . I really can't imagine what could happpen. Or, rather, it would probably be some form of nuclear explosion. So, if Lois gets pregnant from young Clark, then travels back, she will find a 10-yo first born? Really looking forward to the next part Michael

Of course, Clark told Martha what was going on--and not just because he's the original Mama's boy. He had to tell her, because he had already had told her how worried he was about the fact that Lois might have figured something out about CK=S. He told her that he'd been keeping an eye on his co-worker, watching for her to slip up again. So when he found that Lois knew because she had known for years, he told his mother in order to alleviate her worries--not that it did much good.
