Sorry, this week has gotten a little out of hand. Rye was a little fussy (we think she didn't like my eating some very spicy food - she's okay with some spice, but not too much apparently) and my husband went back to work. Neither of these should have meant I'd disappear off the face of the earth, but together it meant I was pretty much busy all of the time. Luckily, the spice or whatever it was is out of her system now and it was much easier - maybe a bit too easy as she's been sleeping all day.
Amber - I'm glad that you liked Clark confronting Paul. I was unsure if that would just seem too meddling. But you can guess how Lois will feel about this without my having to post the next chapter, I would think.
Michael - You are right - Paul is cockier than Luther ever was. My thought is that Paul is young. I think not only do people learn as they age, but there is an age (not sure when but maybe between 15 and 20ish?) when you are nearly an adult, but don't tend to think things through enough - it's unusual to make decisions thinking about the long term. So, if asked Paul would know that there's an original out there, but in his head, Lois, who has the original, is unlikely to expose him. He hasn't considered that Professor Williams may read the paper and recognize that he hasn't made significant changes. Or if he does, he hasn't thought through what the consequences of that would be.
