I hadn't originally planned to involve guns and Kryptonite, but after I read some of your posts on the last part, I decided that just a bit more conflict might be desired. I'm not a violent person by nature, so I have a hard time coming up with sadistic plots But, hope I created enough suspense and action to satisfy!
Reach for the moon, for even if you fail, you'll still land among the stars... and who knows? Maybe you'll meet Superman along the way.

I have a hard time coming up with sadistic plots You may have a hard time coming up with them, but you do it very well! I love Clark's using the gun to move the Kryptonite away from him. That is a very Clark-like thing to do. One of the reasons I am a huge L&C fan, while disliking most superhero-related entertainment, is that L&C's Superman eschews violence, even when others are attacking him. I like that he uses his brain as well as his brawn and his super abilities to defeat the bad guys without lowering himself to their level. Joy, Lynn

Hi mozartmaid,
I have a confession to make. When I first saw part 1 of this story, my immediate reaction was an expletive. You see, I have a WIP that I am planning to be my next medium/long work. My working title was “Congo.” Oh, well. So, I have been debating whether or not to read yours. I finally gave in today. I was fairly certain that there was minimal chance for overlap and now that I’ve read yours, I know mine is a very different story. (I have a new title too. One that I think fits my story better.)
As for the story, it’s very nice. I like the quick chemistry. When I see an alt-Lois meets alt-Clark, you never know what you’re going to get. I love your approach and think it worked very well. Perhaps this Lois hasn’t been through some of the Claude-like problems that made our Lois so defensive.
For this part in particular, I love what you did with Kawa. I just wish we could have gotten to know him better. The fact that he could sense their connection speaks of a deep person. I liked that Lois didn’t have any problem when Kawa told her that Clark loved her.
Finally, I loved Lois blowing off Tempus’s pinky. It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

Hi Bobart and all: Glad you finally gave mine a chance. 'Congo' is just a WIP title... I have no idea what the final one will be yet...

To Darth Michael: You know, I should have researched that bit about the Kryptonite... I was almost positive that alt-Clark didn't know about it, but guess I was wrong! I'll tweak that part a bit before I send it to the archive As for Tempus... I didn't realize there was an Alt-Tempus! I always thought he was the same guy causing mayhem where he could, jumping between dimensions and time... how did I miss that?!

No-no, there's no known Alt-Verse Tempus. I just meant, since our Tempus just decided to set-up shop in the alt-verse for a little while, why should he come back at exactly this time to screw things up again. Not that he needs reason, but he still needs to find out he has to go back in time to exactly this point. And he has to do so after he's done with his mayhem in S4, or we would have noticed the missing pinky. Yeah, I know, time-travel combined with dimension hopping Michael
