I don't know if this one is very good...It took a couple days to brew, but I probably should have had it beta'd. (Due to the material, I wasn't sure who to ask or what to say.) Anyway, it became apparent that Nightmare needed some clarification, so I decided to extend it a little with a sequel. The idea for it mostly came about from reading about the Paranoia Network and the Hearing Voices Network.

So please tell me what you think, good or bad, and feel free to criticize. Also, 20 points to whoever can correctly identify Johnny's medication.

Wow - the Paranoia Network is really something. Actually, it's kind of scary, the way people with mental illness are treated.

I believe I read somewhere (can't remember where) that in the Middle Ages, when you heard voices, you were being talked to by God and/or the saints.

If Joan of Arc were alive today, she'd be medicated up the wazoo until she stopped hearing those inconvenient archangels. So much for throwing the invaders out of France.

Of course, I am not in the UK and not a psychiatrist or psychologist, but am in the US, however I am not aware of anyone being forced to take meds unless they are a proven danger to themselves or others. Perhaps I have misunderstood.? confused And there are a number of medications prescribed for Schizophrenia, Paranoid Type, that I recall with most having side effects of feeling drugged up. Although I am now retired from many years work at a state mental hospital, it was always a balancing act for our doctors to decide on medications' benefits versus detrimental side effects.

I am surprised to hear that doctors don't ask patients about their specific delusions or hallucinations as it is certainly something we would try to help patients talk about in other therapy settings here, besides being a member of the team, leading group music therapy was my primary role.

I thank you for finally showing Clark taking a direct role in trying to help his son by talking with him, asking specific questions, listening, and sharing his own experiences.

At the very least, it is known that Johnny is Superman's son.
