Chapter 11 Preview: Feedback on Chapter 10 here please

I'm just sneaking in here on my way out the door. I loved this part, Bob. There was so much meat in the a-plot and I really like seeing Lois all fired up on an investigation. Her interactions with Lex, Henderson and Emily were all well written and balanced between introspection and dialogue.

And although I'm sure Tank is wincing at the mention of "James Olson", I'm glad that Lois is pimping him to Petersen (I like him a lot, btw).

So, Bureau 39, huh? It makes sense that Lex would pick up the remnants of Trask's team.

Yeah! A new chapter! And exciting things happening. I hate Lois going back to Lex, but it makes sense. At least she's got her eyes open this time.

It's interesting how The Star is becoming more reputable. How neat that Lois sees that the revival of The Daily Planet may not be as it once was.

Amazing stuff in this chapter. Boy, do I hate Lex! I think Bill is too trusting, thinking that the kryptonite is safe in that special safe. Hope the kryptonite manages to stay safe!

Good news. I finished the very rough cut of the story last night. I even added a mostly ceremonial “The End”. I still don’t have the chapter count because I need to see if chapter 14 will need to be split. I think it will end up being 15 but it could come in at 14.


BJ: The funny part is that generally I’m not a huge Jimmy fan myself. But as a computer research resource, he can come in handy.

Bev and I both laughed at that. We love Casablanca. I wasn’t deliberately echoing Claude Rains, but I certainly might have been in the back of my mind.

Semi-Unrelated Trivia: Claude Rains played the lead in one of the very worst SciFi movies ever made, Battle of the Worlds (I actually own a copy. I have a weakness for REALLY bad SciFi movies.) Before my son left home, I used to regularly threaten him with having to watch it. (That was NOT the reason he left. He went to college. )

Say, does Lex have somebody who keeps throwing sand on the floor around him or how does he manage not to slip and fall rather ungracefully because of all the slime he oozes.

And the others are right. That green K in the 'secure' safe is most likely already gone.
