Ooooh, Clark without powers. And he's gotten himself into some trouble it seems.

Of course we knew that Jen Mai was a baddie. But poor Clark didn't.

It was great to see him searching through the rubble to save lives. It had to really grate on him that if he had his powers, he could have tossed aside the rubble easily. But no go there on New Krypton.

LOL! Yup, Clark learned his lesson the hard way.

I've just always been intriqued how Clark will always go into Superman mode, with or without his powers. So I kinda wanted to showcase that in this chapter.

I continue to love the way you show Clark's heroism and that he doesn't need to have powers to be super--it's just the way he is.

The paragraph where he sleeps thinking about Lois were very sweet and touching.

I really thought that the first time he attacked Nor's men, he'd be kidnapped, but I was so glad he wasn't. It's nice to know he can still hold his own even with regular strength.

Jen Mai always irritated me--and this story hasn't changed that!

From the first chapter, I'm assuming very bad things are going to be happening to Clark (as if leaving everyone and everything he loved behind wasn't bad enough!), so I'm trying to brace myself.

Thanks AK! That's one of the things that I really love about LnC as opposed to other Superman stories. They really developed the "Clark" side of Clark/Superman really, really well. They made a point of showing that even when Clark is sans-powers, he still is a hero.

Glad you enjoyed the sleeping paragraph. See, I'm not being completely mean to Clark...yet. But yes, things are going to turn badly for Clark starting in the next chapter. But you'll see.

Jen Mai always sort of interested me because he's sort of the catalyst for the downward spiral in the NK arc.
