Well, if you’re going to have a story with both Mayson and Scardino in it, it would hardly be fair to leave out poor, maligned Claude! He needs a chance to get in on the fun, too.

Geez, ML, what did Lois and Clark ever do to you? The way this story is going, you'd think you hated them as much as Mayson does. Glad to see that Smallville seems to be taking care of their own without too much trouble. I think Martha and Jonathan might be having the easiest time of this of anyone. Private gnashing of teeth notwithstanding, of course. In fact, things seemed to be looking up until we got to the last little bit about Claude. Add one more to the pile of people who need to get what's coming to them. I hope L&C sue them all for slander. My theory was that Dan Scardino might have had something to do with filling the police in and setting up the sting, though maybe he's still officially off the case. Still, the logical explanation for Bill being so tight-lipped on the sting operation is that the FBI or another government agency is involved. Wonder if they've filled Dan in, or if he only knows what he's been able to find out on his own? His collaboration with L&C is great ... I was hoping they'd find a way to work together now that he knows Lois is off limits. I agree with Clark; Dan would be a good source to cultivate within the DEA. I also liked Clark's press conference, especially how he essentially sic'ed them on Mayson. Heh. Yes, paparazzi, why don't you all congregate outside Mayson's apartment and office for a while, demanding that she answer your questions about her motivation? That's only fair, isn't it? Sigh; that's the only problem with reading at midnight ... now I have to wait until tomorrow night or Monday morning to see what comes next! Kathy

Maybe when the dust settles and no one thinks CK=S anymore, THEN and only THEN Clark will turn in his "marry Lois in a hurry" card. She did say... and I better quote it: “If you change your mind, just say the word. I won’t be responsible for the fall of Superman.” She didn't say it HAD to be during the current crisis, now did she? Leo Nunk, Lamont, and Sherriff Harris! “City reporter writing a negative story about Kansas hicks. Boy, that’s never been done before,” Rachel said. “How will we ever survive?” Did I mention loving Rachel Harris! 'Don't you bash my prom date!' Ooooh. I missed the conversation between Clark and Perry about his statement. Sigh. I bet it was a good one with both of them dancing around CK=S really and truly. Darn. Maybe next time. Clark hesitated momentarily. Did he really trust that this form was what Eduardo had said it was? Yes, he decided. He did. Leaning over, Clark signed the form, before asking, “By the way, do you need me to give a statement denying that I’m Superman?” He tried to keep the question casual. I had completely forgotten about Clark's blindness by the time he went to sign the form. Of course! I loved it! Perfect statement for Clark. He didn't lie, but it sounded like he denied he was Superman! Especially after they sent all the reporters her way. The Star has received confirmation that Love Fortress Magazine, the most notorious of all porn magazines, will today publish an exclusive and very detailed interview with Claude Benoit, the first co-worker to allegedly have a sexual relationship with Superman’s lover, Lois Lane. Who exactly is calling on Superman to cut his ties with Lois? Love Fortress? Met Star? Or Claude? This is unclear. Of course, the article was written and edited by those 2nd graders (not to insult any actual 2nd graders) over at Metropolis Star. Poor L&C. I want to give them a hug. Something better break soon or Lois is going to break out her compass and hitch a ride on a blue & red speeding bullet to France and shoot herself some redemption. PS: I'm still waiting for something to make sense.

Well, well. Claude, eh? Since I haven't seen you actually admit how many episodes will be in this story, I'm guessing that you can drag the Lois and Clark torture on for quite a while.
Pity.
I didn't expect Clark to accept Lois' proposal. I am glad that he didn't get offended, but admitted that he understood her reasoning for not allowing him to propose in the first place.
I feel so bad for them. They're trying so hard to live their lives and do their jobs, but the stories and the masses are making it so difficult. Good thing they're the best at what they do.
Henderson's reaction to Lois' warning was interesting. I wonder how that will play into the overall "Clark-is-Superman" plot.
Sigh.
I know it's only one more day, but ... I hate waiting.
B
ETA: I know it's pointless to speculate, but ever since Leit mentioned that Superman's blindness might be cured by the time of the hostage taking, I've been wondering what Clark and Lois will do when he finally stays out of the sun long enough for his eyes to heal (yes, I know I'm assuming a lot there). How will they use his healed eyes to their advantage in debunking the Clark/Superman connection? Will a visually impaired Clark continue while a seeing Superman returns? Or will Clark's welder's flash heal and Superman remain incommunicado?
ACK!
Have I mentioned before that I hate waiting?

ML if I didn't know better I will think you're evil ! I suppose I should have seen it coming : Claude. This guy is an awful liar and abusive man, but now with this article I think I went to hate him to I'm going to kill him if Lois or Clark don't! I hope he will pay for his evilness! (I assure you, all French men are not like that! It's interesting to see how you (American people in general) see French men, like some kind of Casanova. In France, for the cliché, we see Italian male like this.) So waiting eagerly for the next part !

Is there anyone from Italy on the MB? Joy, Lynn

Geez, ML, what did Lois and Clark ever do to you? The way this story is going, you'd think you hated them as much as Mayson does. Well, let's see. After four years of entertainment, they ended on a cliffhanger - leaving me agonizing over what happened next until I found fanfic. Then, by introducing me to fanfic, they caused this obsession that pushed me to continue writing stories about them. Just think of all the things I could have accomplished if I hadn't spent the past twelve years of my life writing fanfic. I hope Henderson tells Mayson who suggested the warning. You want Mayson immediately running to Church and getting herself killed or something? PS: I'm still waiting for something to make sense. Warning: It won't make sense until you read the part marked 'final.' Well, well. Claude, eh? Since I haven't seen you actually admit how many episodes will be in this story, I'm guessing that you can drag the Lois and Clark torture on for quite a while. I really could, couldn't I?

Hmm... Metropolis Star...Lex Luthor...Claude Benoit...stole his story...seduced him...
Wow! The Star is pulling out all the stops! I hope that L&C can make them pay for their mudslinging, in some creative way, later on!

He withdrew one of his hands from hers to cup her cheek. “No, Lois.” /looks around/ who all so this coming? /watches as lots and lots of hands are raised. Plus a couple of feet. “But that’s true, Clark. I can’t imagine a future without you in it. So... let’s just do it.” Lois Lois Lois /shakes head/ It’s not you I’m not sure about. It’s... Are we really ready to know that we’re going to end up like your parents and not mine?” Don't worry, Lois. You will simply forget you two were ever married. living together would have come after we got married. Depends on whether his lunkheadedness or his patience won out. Lately I seem to have developed this huge crush on his alter-ego.” Michael PS: Wait! Whoever said I wasn't evil? Great, now ML thinks she has to prove a point... /gets out popcorn for next story

Still reading and enjoying v much. I can't believe Claude has now joined the publicity train - Lois' reaction to that article should be interesting to say the least. On to the next part, weee!
