Very beautifully written. So many of the phrases and lines and sentences, not to mention the way the paragraphs were ordered, were perfectly rendered, painting a stirring portrait of Clark's grief and helplessness. How telling that Lois, the babbling brook, doesn't say a word as she comforts him. I love how he refers to her time as Ultra Woman and how she understands him enough to understand fully what he's going through.
So glad Clark finally has Lois in his life, there for him and accepting of him, to rely on and to bring him back from the dark abyss.
Beautifully done and very touching. Pray things go better for you and your husband. Thank you, AntiK.
Wow, this was quite the glowing review. Thanks for that. I guess, in a way, it's good when I go through rough periods of my own. They sometimes spawn the more interesting emotional peices of writing. :p
I'm glad that you liked the inclusion of Ultra Woman. I know that some fans don't care for the episode, but I really do feel like it was such an important, necessary step in their relationship - sort of that last bridge they needed to cross for Lois to fully understand Clark.
Yes, Lois has done a lot of growing up since she and Clark get together. She'd learned when her babble-mode is appreciated and when silence is needed.
Thanks again for stopping in on this one.
