Just remember that high school students writing for professional papers was extremely rare by the 1980s. Lois is the only one on staff anywhere in Metropolis.

I am not sure what you mean by Manheim. It is just a name I made up. He will rival Perry as the 3rd most important character in this story (after Lois and Clark). Beyond that I can't say much.
I love it! I love how you wrote Lois with such fire and wit still- spot on! Can't wait to find out her reaction when Perry tells her that Clark is CJ Kent. Take some of the wind out of her sails, for sure.
