I know this is a little off track, but it made me think it would be an interesting scenario (for a time when Lois knows, which I know isn't what you're going for here) if one or both of them struggled to explain their whereabouts because they had been away somewhere they couldn't possibly have got there and back from without 'Superman Express' i.e. Paris for a meal.
