Wonderful, Chris!

There was something about bouncing ideas around with him that felt right, but she had no idea why that should be. After all, she hardly knew the man. Besides, why had she never before noticed any sense of connection when she'd bumped into him?
I found her confusion here a little puzzling. She knows now about the relationship of the other Lois and Clark, doesn't she? So wouldn’t that occur to her? Actually, I would have expected some thoughts from her on that - does CJ expect their relationship to turn out the same way? Is he thinking of her as his soul mate? Does he expect her to be a substitute for another woman? And perhaps some digging in of the heels against any such expectations, real or only in her own head. I can't remember seeing any reaction from her on these points after CJ filled her in on the alt universe, but I could have missed them, so apologies in advance if that's the case.

Poor CJ - I shared his frustration at having to try to work with a corrupt legal system. Soul-destroying.

CJ shrugged, but didn't protest. Instead, he swept up his jacket from where he'd left it hanging over the banisters and, pausing only to lock his front door after him, he followed her back down to the street.
I see others have already spotted what I was going to point out here. goofy You didn't say, but I presume that CJ was using his powers to heat the kettle? If not, he might want to take a couple of seconds there to go switch off the heat under it before leaving. <g>

Oh, it gets better," crowed Lois. "Everyone who has spoken to me says that they are prepared to go on the record with this. I've got tomorrow's front page and you, CJ, will most definitely get your mistrial."
WTG, Lois! She's handy to have around, isn't she? <g>

I thought the thread of Lois having been set up to falsely accuse Myserson in a story was a very interesting reversal of Clark's experience in Never On Sunday. Don't know if it was a deliberate nod to the show or just co-incidence, but I enjoyed it anyway.

Finally, she sighed and, committed, said, "All right. I'll tell you."
/me scoots her chair closer to the screen and waits...

Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly.
Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.
