But I was trying to get at something else, too. To go beyond the defintion, so to speak. Do readers have a preference for one of these genres, you've described over others? If so, why is that? I'm guessing that Rona V doesn't have a preference, given the way the initial post was phrased, but I could be wrong. At any rate, I'm always interested in the reasons people have for the preferences they have.
