Not only do I pray but I believe it to be the only explanation for some personal situations to have a happy ending. I always believed my grandmother had the "red phone" connection to God and now that she's gone, I just have to believe that my prayers are as strong as hers and that God listens to me as well as he listened to her.
She would say, "Take it to the Lord and leave it there."
