This is a great look at the story from Lex's perspective. That's the one thing I really liked about Smallville - getting to see Lex in his formative years, the events that created the person he became. This story does that, too.
I like that it ended while Lex is still on top - before Lois dumps him, before Superman escapes. It's his story, and Lex should get to be the hero.
