First, you've given us a new character in the very pragmatic "Mac" - well, two new characters if you include Genevieve
And Clark! - This is such a touching and powerful portrayal of him.
But more than anything, he was so weary of being alone,
heart-breaking.
By stripping Clark of his superpowers and all those experiences which have made him what he is (was
), you've laid bare his essence: a man who has a truly generous spirit. This is such a touching portrait: the quiet outsider, the man with weather-beaten skin and a second-hand jacket, living rough and often hungry yet still quietly heroic, helping others when it would have been easier to look the other way.
And his dreams – the comfort of his dreams!
