Hooray, waffy stuff! Nice job all around. Very believable reactions and interactions from all of the characters.
Personally I usually prefer to see the second generation developing super powers at the same age or later than Clark, rather than earlier. I'm willing to suspend my predjudice here because you've used it to such good effect to introduce a genuine feeling of life and hope into this chapter.
