This is painful to watch! Good job in portraying the impact PTSD has on, not only the person directly impacted but also, the people who love them most. I have to believe that most people suffering from this disorder get left behind because the real problem is so well masked by other emotions such as anger, sarcasm, callousness, etc.
Only a deeply abiding, unconditional love would compel a person to endure such behavior for a long period of time.
And this kind of support has not been the norm for Lois Lane! The fact that she is painfully enduring the situation and proactively seeking a solution reveals the depths of her true character. Lois Lane provides hope that she has the super strength and courage to save Clark Kent.
