The "knocking" tactic seems to be working.
Although it was painful for both, it looks like the exposure/attack is imposing further in-depth confrontation between Lois & Clark. And likely sooner than otherwise might have occurred. I really like the raw honesty that is happening between them. Now, we learn that it’s not entirely all about Clark’s fears. Lois is sharing some deep-seated fears of her own!
While there is no surefire solution, continued progress is even more evident here, in that they are together and agreeing on next steps.
Good job Bakasi in taking a more realistic approach to the risks involved in a human/alien relationship. We saw a cursory look at the topic in Lethal Weapon, but nothing as realistic as your story. And this is much more complicated in that Clark learned to control his powers at the hands of torturing tyrants rather than his loving parents, the Kents.
I am looking forward to learning how everything works out. But, if your muse is so inclined, I would definitely love to see a part 3!!
