“Mother, that’s not helping.”
“I’m just saying,” Ellen responded with a shrug. “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

I’m guessing all this time with not even a hint of different abilities or things showing up with Dr. Klein or anything, Lois and Clark have grown a bit complacent, not so much expecting anything any more!
