"I'm okay," Clark reminded her once again later that afternoon as she glanced at him for the twentieth time.
"I know. It's just. . . . " She trailed off, glad they were beyond hearing range from their coworkers. She looked back down.
"Me too," he said softly.
"What? ‘Me too’?" Lois asked, confused.
"Scared," Clark admitted.
GAHHH!!! I really loved this bit!! You can feel the love and concern from them both.
And ack! He definitely CAN attack both at the same time!
Now part of me is wondering if… so Lois is having to acknowledge her love for Clark… is she going to have to do the saving, the anchoring with Superman instead of Clark???
