“—to Luthortopia!” Lex stood grinning in front of her, his arms outstretched.
That's such a perfect capture of the man.
and she felt Clark's jacket settle over her shoulders.
Awww. And I love how second nature this giving/accepting is.
Clark frowned. “Dr. Diggory, are you saying this world is in the middle of the *ice age*?”
I like that you leave it to Clark to pick up the salient detail here.
Clark's eyebrows shot up at that. “So then, would the citizens of… Luthortopia… be completely unable to raise their own crops?”
I love it when Farmer Clark shows up!
...Luthortopians will have not merely survival, but prosperity!”
I snorted at reading 'Luthortopians.' It reminded me of Liliputians, but I really think Lex would take offense to that. ...which makes it all the funnier, actually. Luthortopians - comic gold.
Clark's arm pulled her back just as a reindeer passed by them at top speed with a giant cat right on its heels.
Oh, whoa! And nice catch, Supes.
Also, the local fauna racing through the office set-up is so absurd that it's like a step off Dalí. Just a totally amazing scenario.
Lois' stomach began to twist.
Because he's the actual devil. Great job seeding in this reaction.
Lex blinked and turned to look at her, as though he'd momentarily forgotten her presence.
This is SO how these guys work. This articulation of it is scary.
“We have an emergency protocol for this situation,” the only woman among the scientists spoke up.
This says SO MUCH to my little feminist heart. Way to pack in the nuance.
This reveal was amazing. I'm dying.
Jimmy let out a groan. “Oh, we're going to die…”

Omg, spot on for Jimmy!
With a crack of thunder, Kal-El was gone. Maybe finding fruit amid the ice and snow would be impossible for anyone else, but Mad Wolf and her husband saw the impossible everyday. Who knew what he could discover?
That was a WILD shift! So ready for a story with their previous lives!
I'm totally addicted to this crazy plight of a story! First chance I have tomorrow, I'll be hunting around the boards to see if there's more of it!
