Lois has friends, but she was so overwhelmed by ...everything that she crawled into a shell and shut the door after her. It isn't strange that it takes a "love letter" from far away to knock open the door and pull her out.

The insurance fraud investigation is impossible for her to resist and yes, it is a chilling scenario.

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.
