But once again, Lois Lane had become a part of the story, and once again, there were doubts as to whether she'd live to tell it.
At least she's coming to terms with who she is!
Given a choice between two realities in which she was freezing cold with no Superman, she chose to sit up.
What I'm taking away from this is that she chose the universe with Clark.
The blanket he held around his own shoulders fluttered behind him in the wind, reminding Lois of the annoyingly absent star of her recent dreams.
Your use of dramatic irony here is wonderful but this is kiiiiling me...
Lex looked dramatically different, having gone from a smooth and perfectly-coiffed gentleman to an unkempt figure that she could picture yelling at the dumpsters behind a liquor store.
Both deeply hilarious and a sad comment on our society - the only difference is money.
“You know, if you just turn me onto my side, that usually helps the—”
“Oh, shut up!” Lex snapped, thrusting his gloved hands into the pockets of his coat and lapsing once more into a fuming silence.
I cannot even imagine Lex touching this guy.

YES! I love this touch to have him admit to this and have her catch him out on it. He's a mooooonnnnster!
The semi-amusing thought crossed her mind that it was so cold, even the trees were turning blue.
This totally tickles me.
“Do you think we'll be here for Christmas?”
Oh, man, poor Jimmy is really living his worst life out here.
He turned to Jimmy, who had apparently attempted to bolt up the tree with little success.
“Olsen, you can head back to the camp with the others; I'll keep Lois safe.”
Nope, nope, nope. That said, the juxtaposition of these two last sentences side by side is masterful.
“Don't be so sure, Lois.” Something scary glinted in his eyes. “We may be seeing violence very soon.”
Whaaaaat in the actual....? Man, you really found an excellent way to bring his full crazy out into public. Yikes.
Clark adjusted his glasses. “They'll dry. I...have a feeling.”
OMG, he is SO bad at subterfuge and I just love him.

Aww. This whole little scene is really so great. But I love that Lex scares the tar out of her and she comes up with this as a response.

These little tidbits are just so wonderful.
I just love your writing because it's so RICH. It's not overly dense, but every sentence has an opinion, as well as economic plot points. It's really an incredible blend.
