Oh I understand! It is the worst kind of torture; long distance separation! Add to the fact that they can only communicate monthly using a mechanical courier as opposed to every day via letter, phone, email and text. In the opening chapter Lois thought about the captains and their wives during the days of the clipper ships. The men wrote letters that took months sometimes years to reach their loved ones. Torture indeed. mecry

Our two favorite reporters are essential to each other and us! That's what makes this story precious to me.
