I swear, every wedding has that awkward mingling part, doesn't it?
I loved that Lois got a moment with Sam. And then the interaction with Kal, him being all deferential and gentlemanly Mmmm .... what is wrong with me? hasn't been determined, but there's something about the trope / general situation of there's some tenseness but character is just so good and wins them over that gets me.

But, the darker parts of the premise are still there- her thinking about her last name, Kal acknowledging again what she's giving up... I like that this is still present throughout, it would be strange if it wasn't. Lois must be so relieved that her worst fears about a terrible marriage are mostly dispelled now, which frees her up to start seeing him, you know? And the reverse too.
also, I did NOT see Zara and Chings gift coming at all! YAY!! I had an inkling that maybe.. he'd been on earth longer or something, but oooh this implies he (presumably) did still arrive in the "original" way, but (presumably) was found / called back sooner / under different circumstances. Boy I am excited to see what you do with that, there are so many options. Definitely opens up a whole new avenue for Lois teasing him, that's for sure!
